Here are the official three colors:
Zoya - Liberty
Nicole by OPI - Khloe Had a Little Lam Lam (best name for a polish ever)
Color Club - London Calling
London Calling is part of Color Club's Wanderlust Collection which is available exclusively at Birchbox. I got it in my monthly box and thought I'd add a swatch into the mix today!
London Calling is a neon-y pastel. It goes on smoothly with really good coverage. And it's really neon-y! I'm showing it here with two coats. I kind of love it. I am a bit of a sucker for minty greens and this is an excellent addition to the our collection.
So, for the actual manicure. I used scotch tape to create the triangles at the tips. Khloe Had a Little Lam Lam is actually blue, I promise, even though it looks black here.
Then I used striping tape to create the chevron patterns, and a nail art brush to apply Liberty. I really wanted to play around with texture in nail art, which is why I choose Liberty as one of my polishes and I totally love the way it looks. The application was a little spotty, but I don't think you can actually tell.
I got a lot of compliments on this one, guys. I was worried the colors would look really weird together but I think they actually work out!
Have any of y'all played around with using textured polishes in nail art? How did it turn out? Let us know in the comments!
Here's how I did it: I painted two coats of Essie Blanc on my pointer and ring fingers. On my thumb I did two coats of Liberty, middle finger was painted with London Calling, and pinky had Khloe Had a Little Lam Lam.
I then applied striping tape in a pseudo-checkerboard pattern on the two white fingers, like so:
And then I painted in each square/rectangle! I used all three of the tri-polish colors, plus Sally Hansen Celeb City.
I was pretty happy with how these came out! PLUS, only taping off two fingers on each hand made the striping tape application process go MUCH faster than usual. Yay for efficiency!

Great designs!
